Consortium IKPT and Wasa Mitra Engineering Sign Contract for Patuha-2 Geothermal Power Plant Project
The Consortium PT Inti Karya Persada Tehnik (IKPT) and PT Wasa Mitra Engineering (WME) has signed an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the development of Patuha-2 Geothermal Power Plant Project with PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero). The signing ceremony took place on December 12, 2024, in Jakarta and was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development Coordinator. Also present were representatives from the Board of Directors of PT PLN, PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero), as well as Presidents & Executives from JETP Indonesia and Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The Patuha-2 Geothermal Power Plant, located near Mount Patuha in West Java, is planned to deliver a Maximum Continuous Rating (MCR) gross 60.3 MW. The project, contractually scheduled for completion in 2027, is expected to strengthen the role of geothermal energy to Indonesia’s national energy mix. With a focus on cost efficiency and increasing local content (TKDN), the project underscores PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero)’s commitment to pioneering the development of clean and sustainable energy in Indonesia.
The consortium of IKPT and WME as the EPC contractor is committed to supporting the success of this project and contributing to continued growth of PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero).
This strategic step highlights that geothermal development is not merely an energy investment, but also a key component of the transformation toward a greener and more self-sufficient future.
