Commissioning & Performance Test Completion Siberut Project
IKPT has successfully completed commissioning & performance test of Siberut Aggregated Biomass Gasification Power Plant (SABPP) Project. SABPP is one of the project funded by Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) in collaboration with Government of Indonesia, through Millennium Challenge Account Indonesia (MCA-I).
The project will supply 700 kW of power to total of 1,181 Households that located at 3 villages in Siberut Island, West Sumatra. The villages are Saliguma, Madobag and Matotonan. Saliguma Biomass Power Plant has 250kW capacity, supported by 2 units Gasifier WBG-200, 1 unit Gasifier WBG-100 and 4 units Gas Engine Generator. It has achieved commissioning and performance test in April 2018. Madobag Biomass Power Plant has 300kW capacity, supported by 3 units Gasifier WBG-200, and 4 units Gas Engine Generator and has achieved its commissioning and performance test in June 2018. Matotonan Biomass Power Plant has 150kW capacity, supported by 1 unit Gasifier WBG-200, 1 unit Gasifier WBG-100 and 2 unit Gas Engine Generator and has been completed its commissioning and performance test in June 2018.
This project has been finished successfully and “kept safe man hours” until completion with “zero accident.
Project handover was done on July 13, 2018 at MCA-I Jakarta office. IKPT is very proud of performing this Biomass Power Plant Project to supply sustainable electricity to local community in Siberut Island. IKPT is eager to continuously provide its services for development of local infrastructure in remote areas and IKPT wants to have more experiences in the development of renewable energy infrastructure planned by the Government of Indonesia.
