IKPT Wins First Phase MRT Jakarta Project Contract (CP-107) with Metro One Consortium (MOC)

Inti Karya Persada Tehnik (PT. IKPT), which joins with Metro One Consortium at MRT Project Jakarta, have won Package CP-107 for Railway Systems and Trackwork MRT Project Jakarta.

The work Package CP-107 covers Railway Systems & Trackwork, in which it is the railway infrastructure consisting of 10 work items such as Substation Systems, Overhead Contact Systems, Power Distribution Systems, Signaling Systems, Telecommunication Systems, Facility SCADA, Automatic Fare Collection Systems, Platform Screen Doors, Escalator & Elevator and Trackwork.

The Contract value for the work package of Railway Systems and Trackwork CP-107 in YEN is JPY 15.762.000.007 (Fifteen Billions Seven Hundred Sixty-two Millions and Seven Yen), and in RUPIAH is 1.288.325.505.929 (One Trillion Two Hundred Eighty-Eight Billions Three Hundred Twenty-Five Millions Five Hundred Five Thousands and Nine Hundred Twenty-Nine Rupiah).

The Signing Contract was done on April 30 2015 at Pullman Hotel Jakarta by Management of PT. MRT Jakarta with Metro One Consortium.

From entire Contract Package of MRT Project Jakarta Phase First corridor South – North, package CP-107 is the last package to be signed.

The signing was done by Mr. Dono Boestami as The President Director of PT. MRT Jakarta with 4 representatives from each company that joins in Metro One Consortium, namely Mr. Tetsu Ikeda (Mitsui & Co., Ltd), Mr. Haruo Nagamatsu (Toyo Engineering Corporation), Mr. Kazuto Morisaki (Kobe Steel Ltd) and Mr. Bambang Prasetyo (PT. Inti Karya Persada Tehnik).

As a National company with 1150 employees by having 99% local experts, IKPT is proud of participating and contributing in the execution of MRT Project Jakarta Package CP-107, in which it is as the first MRT Project in Indonesia and to be done 100% by IKPT. By having more than 30 years in EPC contractor experience and particularly the experience in Electrical, Instrument and Mechanical in the previous projects which may consider as the capitals to execute this project, IKPT has a great determination to accomplish this project on schedule, in 185 weeks including Trial Run to be eefctive since the Commencement Date and the approved Budget. The involvement of IKPT in this project will speed up technology trasnfer program in the development infrastructure project as planned by Mr. President – Joko Widodo by involving many local experts that is IKPT employees.

The success of this project will be important for IKPT’s experience to obtain Government trust to manage other infrastructure development projects in Indonesia. This meets with the hope of Government to increase active participation of national companies in Indonesia strategic projects.
