Achievement of 4 Million Safe Working Hours of Butene-1, MTBE and EGH Project, Cilegon
The construction of the Methyl Tert-Butyl Ether (MTBE) plant owned by PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk which produces Butene-1 (B-1) with a capacity of 43,000 tons / year, also Methyl Tert-Butyl Ether with a capacity of 127,000 tons/year now has reached 4,000,000 (four million) safe man hours without work accidents.On December 5, 2019 ceremony for the achievement of 4,000,000 Manhours has been carried out.
In celebration of the achievement of safety manhours, IKPT CEO, Mr. Yasuhiro Hime expresses congratulations and success thanks to the strong collaboration between all contractor partners so that the B1MTBE – EGF Project can run safely. He also said there were still five more months to achieve Mechanical Completion, so all parties still needed to work hard, and that there can be no compromise to be late in achieving targets, and towards focus on safety and quality. The project is now up to 77% of the construction phase.
Vice Presidentof PT. Chandra Asri Petrokimia Tbk, Mr. Chatri Eamsobhana also expressed his pride and appreciation to all parties who have synergized in achieving safe and on target work.
To support the timely completion of the project, an Agreement was made on the Commitment Board signed by representatives of the Chandra AsriManagement Mr. Chatri Eamsobhana, Toyo-J Contractor Mr. Sabooni, IKPT CEO Mr. Yasuhiro Hime and the other Subcontractors, whom have all agreed to commit themselves to continuing the work in a safe and timely manner without a work accident.
The event was enlivened by the Japanese tradition of “Kusudama” as a symbol of good surprise and it is believed that the efforts and hard work of all teams will lead to good success.
For IKPT, the achievement of 4 million safe manhours without accident has increased work spirit towards further success.
