TOYO – IKPT was previously announced as EPC Contractor for B1MTBE – EGF Project on May 28th, 2018 by PT. Petrokimia Butadiene Indonesia (PBI), a subsidiary of PT. Chandra Asri Petrochemical, Tbk. Through the consistency and strong will from all members to maintain safety at work, B1MTBE – EGF Project has successfully achieved 1,500,000 Safe Manhours without Lost Time Accident (LTA) on 21st June 2019. The ceremony to commemorate this achievement has been held on Thursday 4th July 2019 at B1MTBE – EGF Project, Jetty – C parking area.
Contractor representative, Mr. Made Sutama as IKPT Director and Mr. Masato Otsuki as Toyo Japan General Manager, opened the Ceremony with their appreciation speech. Assistant Operations VP Director from PT. Chandra Asri Petrochemical, Mr. Chatri Eamsobhana delivered his speech afterwards. They all expressed appreciation towards all parties who were in synergy in keeping the work with safety manner.
To enliven the Ceremony, a Japanese tradition called “Kusudama” followed by Indonesian tradition “Potong Tumpeng” were carried out as the bridge to the main event. “Kusudama” is the symbol of good surprise, while “Potong Tumpeng” shows our gratitude and togetherness. Likewise, we believe that the great effort from all members to this Project will leads into a surprising success.
As more than a year has gone by from Project commencement, B1MTBE – EGF Project is now entering to 40% of Construction phase. With almost half of Construction progress reached, challenges to execute the project in timely manner is rising. Commemorated by Commitment Board signed by Management representative from Owner, Contractor and Subcontractor; B1MTBE – EGF Project is ready to continue the works safely towards safe successful completion without LTA.
