IKPT Receives Electricity Award 2024 as The Most Innovative EPC Company in Green Power Plant Construction

As part of the efforts to encourage national electricity and energy security, Indonesian Electricity Magazine held an Awarding Night for the 2024 Indonesian Electricity Awards which took place on Thursday, May 2 2024, at Hotel Mulia Ballroom 1, Senayan, South Jakarta. This award is a form of appreciation for the company’s achievements and also attention to the development and progress of the electricity and energy sector in Indonesia.

Awards were given to 45 companies that play an important role in the electricity and energy sector, divided into 15 award categories. In addition to the company’s appreciation, awards also given to three figures who contributed to the progress of electricity and national energy.

IKPT, as a company that operates in the EPC sector, received an award as the Most Innovative EPC Company in Green Power Plant Construction. IKPT received this award based on the assessment of the company’s achievements in the renewable energy power plants, especially in the geothermal. In this event, IKPT was represented by Mr. Adam Wahyudi as Director of the Project Operation Unit.

This event was also attended by the representatives of the stakeholder, including the Director of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) KESDM, Prof. Dr. Eng. Eniya Listiani Dewi. In her speech, Prof. Eniya said that investment in renewable energy has started to increase, but greater efforts are still needed, especially to meet the increasing energy needs. “It should also be noted that international cooperation has a crucial role to achieve common goals in dealing with climate change and reducing emissions. Regulations regarding TKDN (Local Content) are also being discussed for international investment in the energy industry,” she said.

It is hoped that through the Indonesian Electricity award, the enthusiasm for accelerating the energy transition and education regarding energy transition, net zero emissions, and green life style can be further spread to the wider community. Additionally, with a strong collaboration and high commitment, Indonesia is expected to become as one of the leaders in the global energy transition.
