The EPC-2 Project “Onshore Export Pipeline System” is part of Banyu Urip Field Project at Bojenegoro, East of Java to support Indonesian oil production to achieve 1 million barrel production per day.
The Banyu Urip Field Project has 5 EPCs package;
- EPC-1 – Production Processing Facility
- EPC-2 – Onshore Export Pipeline System
- EPC-3 – Offshore Pipeline and Mooring Tower
- EPC-4 – Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) Tanker
- EPC-5 – Infrastructures Facilities
where all are lump sum contract.
The EPC-2 was awarded to PT. Inti Karya Persada Tehnik – PT. KELSRI Consortium on 31 October 2011 with the scope to construct;
- 20-inch diameter buried insulated onshore pipeline from the Production Processing Facilities (PPF) to the Tuban shoreline with a distance of approximately 72 kilometers
- 3 units valve stations
- 3 unit Emergency Diesel Generator Shelter
- Pigging facilities at Central Field Facility
- Fiber Optic Cable (FOC), which runs parallel with the 72 kilometer pipeline. Both, pipeline and FOC passes 58 villages (Desa), in 16 Sub-district (Kecamatan), in 2 District (Kabupaten) are Bojonegoro and Tuban.
During operations, the pipeline will transport 165 thousand barrel of crude oil per day from Central Processing Facilities (EPC-1) in Cepu – Bojonegoro area to Palang – Tuban, and its continued by an offshore pipeline (EPC-3) to a floating storage and offloading vessel (EPC-4) located at the north coast of Java, near the city of Tuban.
Even though there are obstacles, IKPT-Kelsri Consortium was able to complete the project successfully and achieved more than 4,000,000 Safe Man hours without LTI (Lost Time Injury). The pipeline was ready to transport the crude oil.
