Planting Mangrove Seeds at Sedari Village, Karawang

IKPT with the Cemerlang Indonesia Swara Foundation (SCI) held Mangrove planting and rehabilitation on January 20, 2023 at Sedari Village, Karawang, West Java.
This activity is one of IKPT’s contribution to environmental preservation. The Ministry of Environment and Forestry stated that there are more than 3 hectares of mangrove tree forests throughout Indonesia in 2021 data. However, the majority of mangrove trees are in bad condition. The Marine and Coastal Resources Statistics year 2020 stated that only 31.34 percent of mangrove ecosystems throughout Indonesia were in good condition. Therefore, continued rehabilitation programs are required. Mangrove ecosystems are very important to stabilize environmental conditions and save the surrounding habitat, as well as to prevent coastal erosion, so as to reduce natural disasters.
Hopefully the social activities held by IKPT can also inspire all of the employees to contribute to society.
