On May 24, 2018, Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO) and IKPT achieved the whole Mechanical Completion of SRI-U3 Project, Cilegon, Banten Province, Indonesia.
This project is a Synthetic Rubber Plant with production capacity of 120,000 tons per annum owned by PT. Synthetic Rubber Indonesia (SRI), a Joint Venture company of Compagnie Financiere Du Groupe Michelin (Michelin) and PT. Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (CAP). The plant will produce Solution Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SSBR) and Polybutadiene Rubber with Neodymium Catalyst (PBR) licensed by Michelin, which will be used to produce tires. The plant will utilize Butadiene feedstock produced by PT Petrokimia Butadiene Indonesia, a subsidiary of Chandra Asri Petrochemical (CAP).
Mechanical Completion was achieved with 11.5 million safe man hours and ceremony was held at project site office in Cilegon, attended by SRI project management, Client, Subcontractors and SRI employees at site office.
